How To Make Nasi Uduk

Nasi Uduk is a favorite dish to be served for breakfast in Indonesian family. I do really like Nasi Uduk. There is a simple way to make Nasi Uduk in a rice cooker and the ingredient is also not so much. Check this out.

Ingredient (the amount is as much as the picture below):
1. Rice
2. Water
3. Bay Leaves

4. Lemongrass

5. Salt

6. Coconut milk. In this case, I used the powder one. If you use the same thing, then you have to put the coconut milk powder into the boiling water. No need to have so much water, just to dissolve the powder. It will be easier if you have the liquid one.

Procedure:
1. Wash the rice with water and put it into the rice cooker container.

2. Put the salt, bay leaves, and lemongrass.

3. Put the coconut milk solution, next adjust the water, it depends on how much rice you put. For one level of rice, I usually add the water into 1 level over. or add the water until this height (measured from the surface of the rice to the surface of the solution, see the picture of my finger below)

4. Switch on the rice cooker to cook, wait until cooked.
5. Finally, a simple Nasi Uduk freshly made from rice cooker is ready to be served.
