Sayur Lodeh is recommended if you want to feel the taste of Indonesia.
Here is the ingredient (the amount is as much as the picture):
1) Eggplant
2) Chayote (labu siam)
3) Melinjo leaves and seeds
4) Long beans
5) Corn
6) Carrot
7) Jackfruit
8) Three red chilies
9) Two garlic
10) Four shallots
11) Two bay leaves
12) Galangal
13) Coconut milk
14) Sugar
15) Salt
16) Sayur lodeh seasoning
Procedure:
1) Cut into pieces the eggplant, melinjo leaves and seeds, chayote, long beans, corn, carrot, and jackfruit.
2) Put the pieces of eggplant, chayote, corn, carrot, melinjo seeds, and jackfruit in the pot filled with boiling water. Heat them for about 15 minutes until half cooked.
3) Prepare the seasoning by cutting into pieces the red chilies, garlic, and shallots.
4) Fry them until half cooked.
5) Smack the galangal.
6) Put them in the pot, and add the melinjo leaves, long beans, and bay leaves.
7) Add the sugar, salt, sayur lodeh seasoning (if you don't have sayur lodeh seasoning, you can use any flavoring product such as Royco), and the coconut milk.
8) Mix it well, cover the pot by its cover, and wait until cooked.
9) Finally, sayur lodeh is ready to be served!
