Fried chicken is my best favorite food. For some condition, if there is no fried chicken, I won't eat. So, I asked my sister in law to teach me how to make fried chicken. I usually ask my mother, but at this time, she went to somewhere for 9 days, so she couldn't teach me. Fried chicken what I'm talking about here isn't a fried chicken that is usually served with crispy flour, but just an original fried chicken without flour.
Here is the ingredient to make original fried chicken, the amount is as much as those pictures:
1) Fresh chicken
2) Two garlic
3) Ginger
4) Galangal
5) Turmeric
6) Two bay leaves (daun salam)
7) Salt
8) One Lemongrass leaf
Procedure:
1) Peel the skin of the garlic, the dirty surface of the galangal, ginger, and turmeric.
2) Grind the garlic, ginger, and turmeric.
3) Smack the galangal,
4) and smack the tip of lemongrass leaf
5) Put the fresh chicken in the frying pan add the ground garlic, ginger, and turmeric, also add the smacked galangal and lemongrass leaf. Don't forget to add the bay leaves.
6) Fill with the water and add the salt.
7) Turn on the stove, wait for about 20 minutes, until cooked.
8) Here is the picture when the chicken is ready to be fried. In this step, you can store it in the refrigerator and fry it everytime you want.
